This skirt was cut out in advance of KCWC. One of the few items I already had pattern templates for after recently making Boo's school skirts.
The fabric is a very soft Japanese corduroy from Sevenberry. It is a lovely pink. Even coming from me, it is a pink I can live with easily. Plus I seem to love everything that has a polkadot on it. I have spotty crockery (this range from Emma Bridgewater - I adore it! And it is locally made so that makes me feel better) I seem to home in on things that are spotty.
It is essentially a winter skirt. I would like to pair it with the ice cream top I made a few weeks ago. We were a little pushed for time for the photo's today. It was ballet class night and I have to cram in a school run, snack, and adult dinner prep before we leave so forgive me for the photos.
Everytime I have made this skirt in the past I have put a contrast fabric inside the pockets but I left the fabric the same on this one. I like the idea of the inside of the pocket being as soft and snug as the outside especially if the weather is cold.
I looks really sweet in this fabric, Katy
